Why did Acient Egyptianswear Make- Up and Jewerly
The Egyptians wore make-up and jewelry to honor the gods. They believed that their jewelry would protect them from evil spirits. And Also from harm. They also wore it for good luck charms like I told you before. So nothing would happen to them and there children so the woman always wore there jewerly are they always sat around and made jewerly for familys and themselfs so nothing bad would happen too them.
Women
It is interesting that when the Greeks conquered Egypt in 332 B.C.E., Egyptian women were allowed more rights and privileges than Greek women, who were forced to live under the less equal Greek system.
Egyptian women's rights extended to all legally defined areas of Egyptian civilization. Women could manage, own, and sell private property, which included slaves, land, portable goods, servants, livestock, and money. Women could resolve legal settlements. Women could conclude any kind of legal settlement. Women could appear as a contracting partner in a marriage contract or a divorce contract; they could execute testaments; they could free slaves; women could make adoptions. Women were entitled to sue at law. This amount of freedom was at variance with that of the Greek women who required a designated male, called a kourios, to represent or stand for her in all legal contracts and proceedings. This male was her husband, father or brother. See woman had roles to in life they just didnt have to make jewerly are provide for there husbands

They could own property, borrow money, sign contracts, initiate divorce, appear in court as a witness,. Of course, they were also equally subject to whatever responsibilities normally accompanied those rights.
Love and emotional support were considered to be important parts of marriage. Egyptians loved children as people and not just as potential workers and care-takers.

The wonderful creative jewerly Ancient Egyption woman wore!
The Egyptian women wore several types of jewelry. To get started they wore a lotus flower the lotus flower was an important image in Egyptians jewelry. Pharaohs were cooled in the hot desert sun by servants who waved fans the collar of Neferuptah a twelfth Dynasty Princess no matter how hot it was. Also the jewelry was worn as a charm in the belief that it would keep the wearer safe for instance small children wore charms in their hair while swimming in the Nile River to prevent death by drowning. They jewelry was meant for different reasons it meant something it was not meant for fashion like we do today!
